2025:19 Her “Happy Place” 🏖️

minute/s remaining

My mom has been gone for well over a decade now. I’m at the beach … and I’ve been thinking of her. It was her “happy place.” ⛱️

Today is Mother’s Day in the United States. So, even if I wasn’t at the beach, I’d be reminded of mom. 👩🏻

I was answering a health questionnaire this week for a new insurance policy. I’m unusually healthy for a woman in her 60s but they ask about family history.

I lost my mom AND sister to cancer. 👭🏻

That’s why I repeat … as often as you’ll listen (or read) … that you need to be your PCP (Primary Care Person).

Women are particularly vulnerable.

If you won’t take care of yourself, it’s unlikely that someone else will get that job done.

Just a reminder … self-care is not selfish.

We are putting our oxygen mask on first so that we have the resources we need to take care of those we love. 💝

Could you use some extra support? You’ll get that as a Wellness Warrior.

Happy Mother’s Day and … 💐
