2025:5 Avoid That Chair 🪑

minute/s remaining

In my book, “What’s Your Kryptonite™?”, I encourage readers to avoid “That Chair.”

This week I had a conversation with a colleague who had unfortunately been a witness to what I warned would happen if symptoms were suppressed and the root cause of health issues allowed to escalate.

Her mom ended up there …

 in THAT CHAIR!

It’s so sad. And a story I hear far too often. 😢

Mom (hers recently and mine many years ago) received what I refer to as a crazy disease diagnosis.

The recommendation was the same one my mom received 25 years ago. Unfortunately, too little has changed.

While an extremely invasive surgery will intervene in the short-termit DOES NOT solve the problem.

And, medical doctors 👩🏻‍⚕️ rarely (in my experience NEVER) coach the patient in a way that seriously increases their odds of long-term sustainable improvements with their health.

So, what was my message for her and her mom?

Healing is delayed at best and out of reach at worst.

But, when your health is compromised, stress must be managed … even mastered.

Your body handled it until it couldn’t. When it reaches the breaking point, the symptoms appear in a way you can’t ignore.

Suppress them at your own peril! Suppressing symptoms allows the problem to escalate.

In the world of my dreams, there’s no need for “that chair.” We are all our own PCP … Primary Care Person. We take symptoms seriously and reverse course before dis-ease escalates to disease.

If you could use some inspiration for your own health improvement initiative, it’s time you read (or re-read) “What’s Your Kryptonite™?

Better yet … join me and MOLT™ stress. We can shed stress just like any other creature in nature 🏕️ that has outgrown its trappings.
