I was startled awake this week by an emergency warning alert. 🚨🚨 The storm surge was high enough to justify waking thousands of people in the wee hours of the morning … apparently.

Unable to go back to sleep, I used the extra time to extend my morning meditation. As my nervous system calmed down, my awareness intensified.

I was interviewed for a podcast the previous day. As usual, I was urging the host … and her audience … to pay attention to symptoms.

Take them seriously.

In meditation, it became clear. Symptoms are your emergency warning signs!

When a symptom surfaces, it has overwhelmed your body’s defense system. The symptom is the equivalent of storm surge … at a full moon high tide.

We can’t control the weather, the moon or the tide 🌊, but we can manage the stress that’s creating an emergency. Our survival depends on it.

Stress is life-threatening!

Are you regularly suppressing symptoms? How well are you managing stress?

If you’d like some help answering these questions, you can be one of the first to see my new Energized Woman class. Just click here.

Until next week …

Be Well!
