After over a month traveling in Europe, itโs time to bring my sabbatical 2023 to a close.
Along the wayโฆ in Lorca โฆ I saw a sign. Iโm paraphrasing because I neglected to capture an image of it in the hundreds of pictures and videos from the trip.
The message was (essentially) that we should prepare for a sabbatical as if we know we’re dying โฆ and all the things we have held onto so tightly will fall away.
Whatโs really important? What is supporting you and makes life easy and fun?
Keep that. And let the rest go.
For me, it takes extended rest โฆ stepping away from my routine โฆ to get a fresh perspective. Itโs the insight that is rarely accessible by hanging out in our comfort zone.
If getting out of the comfort zone was required for the sabbatical to bear fruit โฆ mission accomplished!
There were ONLY a few moments in the past five weeks where I was comfortable. Those comfortable moments were bright lights along the way that were easy to appreciate.
The contrast wasnโt subtle.
So whatโs next?
Iโm finishing up the MOLT Methodโข Program. I recorded the last module before I left. It will be ready for prime time in the next few weeks.
Itโs even more clear after my sabbatical that shedding stress is something we all need help with.
The insights I share in the program โฆ along with the tips, tools and techniques โฆ are going to make it easy to identify and manage toxic stress โฆ what I refer to as Kryptonite.
So stay tuned!
And remember to take a moment to intentionally appreciate aspects of your life. If you find this challenging, my Aware Appreciationโข technique is included in the MOLT Methodโข Program. It makes it easy and amplifies the benefits.ย
Iโve got you!
