When I was in my 20s, I was burning the candle at both ends. I regularly jumped out of bed at 4:30 AM to hit the gym on my way to the office.
I had a group of casual friends that gathered in the early morning so those hours at the gym were also my social time. The facility had all the amenities. After working out, I had a mini spa day before dressing for work.
It was delightful!
It worked during those early years when I was single and had total control over my schedule.
Most days I ate a big lunch and skipped dinner … since I wasn’t too hungry and had to go to bed early.
Things started to go south when I began dating and then living with a man who would become husband #1. We often ate a rich restaurant meal at a time that was too late to maintain my demanding morning routine.
And that led to missing my morning workouts …
… which led to more stress …
… which led to a toxic build-up…
And an extra 10+ pounds.
In those days, I didn’t think of my approach to eating as fasting … or even digestive rest.
But that’s what it was!
It allowed me to maintain a very stressful life from 4:30 AM to 8:30 PM without too many ill effects.
When my fasting routine was disrupted, so was the proverbial apple cart. Symptoms were popping up and I was in a real-world Whac-a-Mole game.
Not fun!
So, when I tell you that fasting is the key to maintaining your long-term health, I speak from decades of experience.
I’ve used it many times over the years … when my life has gotten a bit “out of control.”
It’s an easy way to restore balance.
There’s lots of scientific evidence available now. We know what fasting is doing … and why.
But fasting is just another metabolism-wrecking diet if it isn’t done right.
That’s why I put together all of the tips and strategies I have assembled over the past 40 years into my Fast Well Challenge.
It’s a 10-day challenge that focuses on what I call Fast Well Week.
When you learn how to use fasting, it becomes an easy way to reboot your body and jump-start healing …
… in whatever way your body is calling for.
I’m running the challenge publicly for the first time from November 3 to the 12th.
There are lots of ways to fast. So don’t think you have to be ready to starve yourself for a week.
Starving yourself will do more harm than good.
Join me even if you’re only ready to dip your toe in the water.
It will never be easier … or less expensive to join me for the Fast Well Challenge. You can learn more about it and sign up here.
