I talk a lot about toxic stress.
Stress builds and turns toxic …
… OR …
… toxicity builds and creates stress.
There’s simply no way to avoid toxicity OR stress so you need to learn to manage them both. I share lots of ways to do that.
It’s important that you pick the right tool for the job. There are 12 categories of toxicity that I evaluate and each one calls for a unique approach.
For example, activated charcoal is one of the many substances I use to escort mycotoxins and heavy metals out of the body. There are different ways to use it … one being adding it to food.
Honestly, that would not be my first choice but I was curious to try it when a vendor at the local farmer’s market was selling homemade sourdough bread with activated charcoal.
YES! It’s black.
I have a healthy respect for activated charcoal but my husband didn’t think much of it. It is tasteless so other than the color you wouldn’t know the difference.
He had two thick slices shortly after we brought it home.
I do feel a bit guilty not warning him. He had a pretty severe detox reaction along with several days of “black poo.”
The good news is some other pesky symptoms were carried out with the toxicity. So, I think it was worth it … but he might disagree.
Fortunately, there is a better way to use activated charcoal. Capsules allow you to have much more control over the dose … along with the effect.
It’s also helpful to initiate a reboot before challenging your body with a deeper detox. Detoxification requires energy. I recommend a Human Energy System Reboot followed by a targeted detox protocol.
