After over a month traveling in Europe, it’s time to bring my sabbatical 2023 to a close.
Along the way… in Lorca … I saw a sign. I’m paraphrasing because I neglected to capture an image of it in the hundreds of pictures and videos from the trip.
The message was (essentially) that we should prepare for a sabbatical as if we know we’re dying … and all the things we have held onto so tightly will fall away.
What’s really important? What is supporting you and makes life easy and fun?
Keep that. And let the rest go.
For me, it takes extended rest … stepping away from my routine … to get a fresh perspective. It’s the insight that is rarely accessible by hanging out in our comfort zone.
If getting out of the comfort zone was required for the sabbatical to bear fruit … mission accomplished!
There were ONLY a few moments in the past five weeks where I was comfortable. Those comfortable moments were bright lights along the way that were easy to appreciate.
The contrast wasn’t subtle.
So what’s next?
I’m finishing up the MOLT Method™ Program. I recorded the last module before I left. It will be ready for prime time in the next few weeks.
It’s even more clear after my sabbatical that shedding stress is something we all need help with.
The insights I share in the program … along with the tips, tools and techniques … are going to make it easy to identify and manage toxic stress … what I refer to as Kryptonite.
So stay tuned!
And remember to take a moment to intentionally appreciate aspects of your life. If you find this challenging, my Aware Appreciation™ technique is included in the MOLT Method™ Program. It makes it easy and amplifies the benefits.
I’ve got you!
