Fall, y’all.

I’ve been back in the Low Country for a couple of weeks now. This morning, I stepped outside for my walk … and quickly turned around to grab another layer. It was the first truly chilly day of the season.

I’m not a fan of cold weather, if I’m being honest. As I pulled on that seasonally restrictive extra layer, my mind wandered to Panama and its evergreen warm climate.

But that trip will have to wait a few more weeks.

Instead of wishing the season away, I’ve been asking myself, “How can I work with the seasonal change? How can I let the change in nature guide a shift in me?”

Fall is a transition season. The air changes. Light softens. Even our biology starts preparing for deeper rest and repair.

If we were bears, we’d be preparing to hibernate. And since it’s still dark at 7 AM now, some days I feel like going back to sleep.

That’s another interesting thing about Panama. Since it’s so close to the equator, dawn and dusk are at about the same time year-round. The only thing that really changes is the amount of rain expected.

It’s easy to maintain natural circadian rhythms when the sun is consistent. The farther north or south … the more we have to work to support our body during the periods where there is an extreme shift.

This kind of change is a hormetic stressor. The good kind of stress.

And if you’re paying attention, this time of year offers a powerful … and often underappreciated (Can you relate?) … opportunity for a reboot.

So here’s what I’m doing. You might consider it, too:

🔹 Warming up and slowing down. Whether it’s a hot cup of tea or a few more minutes of quiet in the morning, this season calls for grounding. I’ve been using some longer guided meditations. I also use a grounding sheet on the bed. If you’re interested in hearing more about what I use, just reply to this email.

🔹 Letting go. Trees drop their leaves without guilt or fanfare. Is there something you’ve been holding onto that no longer fits who you’re becoming? When I talk about my MOLT Method™ Program, I encourage women to shed stress just like any other creature in nature that has outgrown its trappings. This aligns perfectly with the energy of fall!

🔹 Clearing the clutter. Mentally, emotionally, physically — what can you clear to make space for what matters? Our refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly and needed a new part. In the process, I was forced to clean it out and throw away years of accumulated things we’d never use. Now, I LOVE opening the refrigerator door!

🔹 Recommitting to self-care. Remember, you’re your best PCP … primary care person. Your health doesn’t need a dramatic overhaul. It needs consistency, awareness, and care that meets the moment.

And if you’ve been thinking about making a deeper commitment to your well-being, now is the perfect time.

My Human Energy System Reboot is designed for exactly this kind of seasonal reboot.

It’s about creating real, lasting change … gently, steadily, and in sync with your own rhythms.

I’ve been making some changes to the programs and services I offer. The result will be an increase in the price … soon.

But you can get it now for about the cost of a fancy Starbucks coffee. Sorry … you can’t purchase it in the Starbucks app.

Nature is always inviting us to return to balance. Fall is simply a louder whisper.
