It was Fast Well Week for Wellness Warriors™. It’s not the week we look forward to …
… unless we have plenty of experience and KNOW how much we can improve our health in just a few days.
Every extended fast is different … depending on what has happened between fasts.
In my case, I’ve been traveling and adjusting to staying for extended periods in a new country. ✈️
My routine has been disrupted in many ways for the better … but not necessarily where my diet is concerned. 🍽️
So, I was overdue for an extended fast to clear the internal clutter.
Have you built up some internal clutter? It shows up as symptoms like a rounder belly, joint pain, skin issues, brain fog …
… add your own experience to the list! 📋
Honestly, the fast wasn’t too difficult. It’s more of a mind mastery exercise. Our world revolves around meal planning …
… or not planning which is what actually creates a problem.
No planning required for Fast Well Week … after the first 2 days. It’s just execution.
I always measure my blood glucose and ketones with a KetoMojo during the fast. Typically, several times/day.
It’s the best way to monitor your metabolic flexibility. If you’re not producing ketones, your body isn’t functioning properly.
Trust me. It gets more responsive with every fast.
In this case, I felt pretty “low” on the 3rd morning. The KetoMojo gave me solid data. My blood sugar was low. 🎚️
The fast was done!
It’s SOOOO important to measure. Sometimes it’s just an electrolyte deficiency. If my blood sugar was within normal limits, I would have supplemented with electrolytes and extended the fast for a few more hours.
Every time I fast (and I’ve been fasting for decades), I realize that the benefits far outweigh the discomfort.
When I’m in need of a deeper cleaning, I fast for 3 days every month. 📅
I remind myself … it’s not that hard. And, if you eat out regularly like I do, you can use the money you save to buy a KetoMojo if you don’t already have one.
The next time you fast, spend a bit and add some advanced self-care … like a massage. It supports your body to release the toxicity.
Every month, Wellness Warriors™ do a “sprint” like this. It isn’t always focused on physical health. Sometimes, the focus is on something even more important … mental and emotional health.
