Change is in the air!
Spring promises warmer weather and more sunshine.
But … the ‘bed of roses’ can’t be experienced without nature spreading its seed. Lots of pollen has to circulate.
I was relieved this week when two days passed without my car collecting a thick layer of yellow dust. Still the dry ‘allergy’ cough was an regular annoyance.
So, you know pollen is circulating. It’s just leaving a different mark.
This too shall pass!
And if I support my body while it adapts to these fresh pathogens, my immune system will emerge, like the buds of spring, strong. It’s a beautiful thing.
How can we make navigating allergy season easier?
- Get more rest. If you feel tired, it’s your body telling you that it needs a reboot.
- If you feel ‘under the weather,’ add Vitamin C, Zinc and Quercetin. Remember that we only supplement short-term … when it’s called for.
- Reduce the immune system stressors. Avoid dairy, gluten, yeast and sugar … along with anything else you know causes your system to flare.
Focus on things that are easy to appreciate. Appreciation eclipses stress. And that brings relief to the immune system.
Here’s a few things on my list.
- Glimpses of warmer weather.
- Budding flowers and plants.
- Summer vacation on the horizon. (PS I have BIG plans for June! Stay tuned!)

Until next week …
