2025:18 This Is Often Invisible 🫠

minute/s remaining

Gaslighting refers to a form of psychological abuse in which one person systematically undermines another’s perception of reality, memory, or sanity.

It is a serious form of emotional abuse, common in toxic relationships. It can have severe effects on a victim’s mental health, leading to confusion, loss of confidence, anxiety, and even depression.

This week I learned that my intuition was accurate. I had been sensing that there was something I wasn’t being told … and I was right. ✅
I was the victim of gaslighting! And it had been happening for 6 months. 🤦🏻‍♀️

There was nothing particularly nefarious going on but knowingly withholding information created an energetic disturbance that was causing emotional stress. This is the kind of stress that is the most difficult to manage.
Interestingly, the people withholding the information were causing themselves as much or more stress. But they knew what they were doing … avoiding a bit of short-term discomfort without considering the long-term consequences.
Toxic stress … whether it’s related to a toxic relationship or some other form … is often invisible … 🫥
unless you know what to look for.
Symptoms are the sign that your body has reached the point where it can no longer handle the accumulation of toxicity.
So, how do you manage stress related to something you can’t quite put your finger on? 👈

The truth will eventually be revealed. In the meantime, you need to keep the damage manageable.
I do that with the tools I’ve assembled in the MOLT Method™ I developed. And we use those tools regularly as Wellness Warriors™.
We’re NOT crazy! We’re just living in a crazy world. 🥴
