When I was in my late teens … and still living at home while going to college, I ordered a brand new car.
Actually, it wasn’t my first new car. The car I was reminded of this week was my second new car. A midnight blue Camaro. 🚙
She was a beauty! 😍
My Dad loved to order new vehicles from the dealership in a bordering state. I was working and spending my own money and, like him, loved to experience that “new car feeling” especially since the cars were now ALL MINE.
We ordered the car without gauges … to save a few bucks. My Dad assumed that a young female would have no use for them.
Boy (actually girl) was he wrong!
To make a long story short enough for this cautionary tale, I could smell that the car was overheating. Without a gauge to confirm it, my Dad dismissed my concern.
Eventually, the engine “blew up.” 💥
Fortunately, he was quite the mechanic in his day and replaced the engine himself. 🧑🔧
When I got back on the road, I was always a bit concerned that something was wrong and I’d miss it without the warning signs from gauges.
Our human bodies are similar. The gauges are not easy to read.
They show up as symptoms that can be confusing and are often misread … or ignored.
Just like with the engine in my car … when misdiagnosed there will be consequences.
And, it won’t be pretty!
Are you suppressing symptoms?
That happens when you take medication (even those you get over-the-counter). It’s possible that using natural remedies for an extended period is also suppressing a symptom … or two … or three.
This is one of the many reasons why I don’t recommend even taking supplements long-term.
We want our internal systems to be strong and “tuned up.” That happens when we address the root cause.
There are many types of stress that can be the culprit. That’s why I developed the MOLT Method™ and now it’s included for Wellness Warriors™.
Don’t wait until you need a complete overhaul to take action!
