Stress has literally been “in the air” lately. Have you felt it?
We have been under the influence of intense planetary energies that are inviting us to make significant changes. And, change is stressful.
If you’ve been around for awhile, you know I remind you often that the research shows that 90% of disease is caused by stress. It’s actually higher than that because the researchers don’t include all the ways stress shows up.
Last week I noticed the intense sensations in my body that I could easily associate with the stress I was experiencing trying to make the “right” decision.
”Make a decision and line up with it!”
It sounds so easy. And, it is if it’s something simple like “Where should we go for lunch?”
When we avoid making a decision and the changes that follow it, it’s stressful.
So, stressed if you do … stressed if you don’t.
Better to just get on with it!
As I was contemplating this, I was reminded that life is just one season after another. What works in one season, may not in the next.
The most important thing to remember is that a season is 3 to 6 months. When it goes beyond that, it’s the “new normal.”
If a stressful season has extended past 6 months, it’s time to release the pressure valve …
… even if that means making a significant change you know you need to make but you’ve been resisting.
Living a stressed life as your “normal,” is too risky.
Put the wheels in motion and make sure you use every stress relieving “hack” to offset the damage until you get through it.
